Even though I love to perform, rehearsing is my kryptonite.  A few years ago, I played guitar for Sofia for the first time even though we’d been together nearly 5 years at that point.  You and I were preparing to go on tour in support of our memoir High School and our album Hey, I’m Just Like You.  I had been playing all day but when Sofia got home, I don’t know what came over me. I played your song White Knuckles, and didn’t look at her the entire time. When I finished, we made eye contact and she burst out laughing.
