Happy Tuesday, everybody!
To celebrate I randomly called some of the closest people in my life to talk about the release of my new book! I had to call Sara, but I also called my wife Sofia, my manager Christine, one of my besties who I met in 9th grade and fellow musician, writer, Albertan, Vivek Shraya. Who doesn’t love a random, unscheduled call where you’re being recorded!!!! If you like the sounds of that, you’ll love this weeks contribution to the stack!
It would mean the world to me if you went out and bought Merry Christmess (signed copies available here). It’s a great holiday stocking stuffer if you have a middle-grade kid in your world. I’d say roughly ages 8 to 12, but like most things made by Tegan and Sara, it’s really aimed at anyone who likes Tegan and Sara.
The book is loosely based on Sara and me. It’s about identical twins Stevie and Jordan, whose parents are friendly but don’t spend the holidays together. Their dad is a traveling musician. Their mom runs a community center. And the twins quietly, behind the scenes, daydream about somehow getting everyone together for Christmas.
Think National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation meets The Parent Trap meets Tegan and Sara.
Happy Tuesday, everybody. Enjoy!
Tegan
