Hey Sara-
Neat post on AI. I too fell under the spell of Dall-E-2 when it came into my feed a few months ago. I found most of the images fairly useless but was initially very excited at the prospect of an AI machine thingy, that I could prompt to help me draft creative visual ideas I have in my head. Alas, I failed miserably and never signed back in. But seeing your post on this topic, inspired me to go back and have a look at what I prompted the AI to create. Good to see our twin-ness isn’t fading with time.
First up!
I feared I hadn’t been specific enough.
I tried this next:
Still not what I wanted.
So I go back for more.
At this point, I still didn’t get that it was creating an image, not pulling an existing image from the internet. I’m a moron.
I think I get it now. But still, I decide I’m just not being specific enough with my prompts to get something that looks like us. I also try being a little more polite.
Oh boy.
I move on from trying to get an image of us, and to an image of identical twins.
Not even a little identical.
I know it’s me that’s failing. But I still keep at it.
While I like this image a lot, I give up.
But just on Tegan and Sara.
I move on to the most obvious next source of inspiration in my life.
My dog.
And :
And then, not quite happy with how the dog looked, it was not Georgia enough to me, I tried:
Closer.
And finally, for your nightmares:
Fun times!
I’ll say this, I hope AI doesn’t take over too soon. I think humans might still do it better. But for how long?
Tegan
SSAR TAGOR
Lol. Being “polite” is a cute prompt choice. I’m pretty sure the AI “creates” from existing images so it’s clearly not bright enough to find Tegan and Sara or whomever created it hasn’t imputed data with your faces.
I do like the border collie licking the cone though.
I’m Still not over Sara’s last AI image, and now I have two horrific images every time i close my eyes. hahaha!
