Loners!
As you know, Tegan is still on a social media break, so this month I invited our dear friend Liisa to join Stacy and me on WDTGG! Liisa is a legend—our first tour manager! She was with us when we debuted on David Letterman in 2001 and traveled with us to Japan for Fuji Rock Fest.
After we filmed this episode, she reminded me that she was there when Meg White from The White Stripes came backstage in Detroit and played us their Walking with a Ghost cover—right before wiping the floor with us at the bowling alley next door. She also made an appearance on Forest Fone, which is a great episode (and damn, my mullet was sick).
A lifetime of memories, laughs, tears, and miles made Liisa the perfect guest to talk about my desire to travel to Japan with Sid and tap back into the early joy (and fear!) of traveling just for FUN.
