We have a new book!
Junior High, our first graphic novel, is out May 30th! Ask about it!
Hey everyone!
We are headed out on tour soon, dates and ticket links are here. But before we dive into the bulk of our shows for 2023 we are going on a mini-book tour for our graphic novel Junior High!
The book is out on May 30th. You can pre-order it here, and the dates for the book tour are below and you can get tickets here.
Our plan is to read from the book, talk with incredible artist Tillie Walden, take audience questions, show photos of us in Junior High and tell stories that didn’t make the book! We are going to visit 5 cities, but we’re also doing a virtual event that EVERYONE can attend! All events are “book-as-ticket” meaning if you buy a ticket to the event you get a book!
We are REALLY looking forward to the tour and hope to see some of you there, and hopefully all of you at the virtual event. A few people asked about merchandise at the events. We have decided not to carry any t-shirts with us, as Sara and I are going to be flying all over the place, but Emy has put together TWO new shirts for the release of Junior High! They should be announced and up for sale online soon!
Last thing, at the book events we’ll be taking questions about Junior High so we thought we’d give you all an opportunity to ask some Q’s about the book here on Substack! Throw any questions you have in the comments and we’ll put together a post to tackle them!
Thanks,
Tegan and Sara
We have a new book!
No questions here, just wanted to say thank you! I am a public children’s librarian, and I’ve made it my mission to expand and diversify our collection. I am so excited to add your voices to our shelves! I can’t wait to share your book with everyone and for kids to discover it on their own. It makes me emotional to think about a young me reading your story, and I am so happy that kids today will have it. I tuned into you and Tillie at Middle Grade Magic and was jumping out of my seat in agreement with what you had to say about representation and kid’s books. I’ve had the Junior High release date on my calendar for months -- can’t wait!! Thank you for all you do and for all you are!
Looking forward to the virtual event. Would you consider livestreaming one of the shows on the tour for those of us outside the US/Canada who can’t make the tour?
