Right now mostly Brat (the extended version) and remixes; Heat- EP; Hit Me Hard and Soft ; and Asejeré - The Ketchup Song (spanish/english versions) cause I hadn’t heard it in years and saw a trainer use it in a video in IG haha.
Get your Boiler Room on Sara.
Edit: Side note: After your last post I was thinking about the Spotify Wrapped and how BS it is. I remember when Apple started theirs they said they only really calculated I think the last 6 months of listening. I’m convinced Spotify does too. I let it annoy me every year cause I’ve been trying to trick it.
I'm loving BRAT too! Guess ft Billie Eilish is iconic! Also Chappell Roan obviously and Katie Gavin's solo single Aftertaste. I saw Rachel Chinouriri performing on Jools Holland a few months ago and liked her song Never Need Me, I'll need to check out more of her music
Dance/Electronic music has never been my go-to genre with only a few artists/albums grabbing hold of me (I've been hoping for years you'd publicly venture back this way). Charlie wins me over everytime ofc, but it's mostly on par with when I'm in art museums- I appreciate it, but have no clue how to tell what's good or bad. I think Im just like a lyric and melody person, idk. However, thanks to your recommendation, I've started enjoying Four Tet. Between those and the low fi I sometimes listen to while working, I discovered Yaeji and Whyte Fang. Also, even though I have never in my life cared about Britney Spears, I have to admit I'm suddenly a big fan of her Glory album- arriving only 24 years late to the hype.
Zach Bryan is sooo good. I discovered him in June and I think he will be my most listened to artist on Spotify this year. I just saw him in concert in Houston. He is AMAZING live. It’s been a long time since I found an artist I truly love other than you guys. There is something about music that sets your soul on fire but puts it to ease all at the same time.
What’s your favorite ZB some right now! I’m loving revival, heading south and 28.
For modern music I'm loving Dirty Honey. Like Led Zeppelin, Guns N Roses and Aerosmith had a baby. I recently discovered Sierra Ferrell and Stray Kids. I've never delved into KPop before but am starting to enjoy it. Abyss by YUNGBLUD is insane.
As for music that is new to me, I've been in a punk mood lately. So I've been listening to the Clash. Also Tubeway Army/Gary Numan.
A few in heavy rotation lately: Charli XCX - she doesn't make a bad record, Kittie, Spiritbox, Soft Play, Grimes, London Grammar, M83, 311 (because it's summer), Still Corners, Le Youth, Doja Cat and Opeth because I just saw them live again after 19 years 🔥
In preparation for pride I have been listening to Tedy (your second opener) so I can learn the lyrics and sing along. So good, I have 2 weeks!
Currently loving:
Albums:
Hit Me Hard and Soft
So Jealous X
Songs:
Morgan Page w/ T&S - Video (this one still fucking rocks!)
Kilu - out of the picture, pt 2
Kidswaste - Home
Playlist:
Chillhop Radio (jazz/lofi/hiphop beats) - one of my favorite playlists of all time. Perfect for waking up to, winding down to, or played in the background like white noise while reading or doing other things.
p.s. I hope that Felix Cartal collab you guys are working on is similar to Video! Omg I can’t wait!
I’ve been enjoying the new albums by Glass Animals, Omar Apollo, Clairo, Remi Wolf, and Zolita. Patiently waiting for a new Tame Impala album and love what he did with Dua’s new album.
I haven't been listening to a lot of music lately, for whatever reason. Sooo many podcasts though! I made a 30 min playlist of French music a couple of months ago, so thought I'd share that: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4dcBQDuZnmI1KxC6FL0X37?si=nrJjx4ICQietuIY9-dPjGw&pi=u-2pSA3I0lSHal
wait this is GOLD. loving french music. thanks for sharing :)

Music wise, I think I'm really into the idea of a Tegan and Sara musical right now. :D
