This medley was GENIUS. Alternating between songs was like watching Tegan and Sara play musical ping pong or something! And kudos to Ted for the guitar playing. A little medley of deep cuts like this before or during the encore I think would make fans very happy!

I find this process absolutely fascinating. As I believe Dark Come Soon to be one of THE most well written songs...period...I obviously hope it’s played. Since you didn’t get to tour long for HIJLY, I hope to hear full album versions of Hold My Breath Until I Die or I Don’t Owe You Anything. I’m hoping for an acoustic version of I Was a Fool or Love They Say in a different key, because you’ve spoken about how hard they are to sing. I’d love to see you rock out with Hell or Don’t Rush. I know I’ve listed only Tegan songs so far, I swear I love Sara’s songs too, especially On Directing! I know all Sara’s hits will be played, but I’d be down for a deep cut like Red Belt or Downtown. Loved this! I am absolutely one of those spreadsheet lovers. Wondering if you color code them at all or ever use filtering to narrow down to just Sara’s songs etc. This may be too much of a “deep cut” but I have to put in a vote for City Girl. Maybe you can sneak that one into the sound check. I’m also really enjoying the image descriptions in the audio. I’m one of those people who primarily listens, that way I can do other things at the same time. For instance, I’m on my commute home as I type this. But I know the inspiration to start doing them was for accessibility which is rad.
I really love City Girl. I actually play it at home a lot. Reading your comment I actually had a thought. For our VIP meet and greet on this tour we are doing a soundcheck party. Been to a soundcheck before and it was so great to hear songs that weren’t already in the set. You played The Ocean in Bethlehem, PA once, and then I’ll always remember When I Get Up that you attempted in NYC. The sound checks are amazing 🥰
And THIS is why I enjoyed your show SO much the first time I saw you....it runs like a well-oiled machine (although I know you two have had your fair share of technical difficulties). I am an oldie, so anything pre Sainthood would make me happy... Speak slow, You wouldn't like me, So jealous, Dark come soon, I was married, The con, Floorplan.. Oh and Living room of course. I remember you playing it the first time I ever saw you live (at a small, free festival in Malmö, Sweden - I skipped school for a few days to travel there from Norway ;)). This was when you were touring So Jealous. I just remember the rush of happiness and goosebumps when you played it. It was so great. And you sounded slightly nervous in between songs and started talking about your height at some point, comparing yourself to the Scandinavians. Haha. I really hope to see you back in Scandinavia at some point. <3

I thought this post was really cool! I like finding out that it’s not easy to be an artist, because loads of people assume that once your well known enough to make a decent amount of money from your music that your cruising. It’s great to see what it’s actually like and the intricacies that are involved. I also love the ‘GIVE ME YOUR EMAIL’! 😂! (I’ll talk more about my fav songs in a sec.).
Before I talk about songs, I have to acknowledge Sara’s baby! So happy for her and Stacey! I have a couple questions, don’t worry, I’m not expecting you to answer them (yet), I just wondered if they might be answered at some point? (Feel free to just tell me, but I suspect you won’t, a simple yes or no regarding if I’ll get the answers to the baby questions would be great?) Will we get to find out the baby’s name? Will we get to find out the babies sex, or their pronouns?
As for the songs! So glad you asked! Currently, besides being in love with the two new songs, my top two albums are The Con & Hey I’m just like you (unsurprising, I’m a teen). In terms of actual favourite songs: Don’t believe the things they tell you they lie, hey I’m just like you, all I have to give the world is me, dark come soon, the con, knife going in, please help me, BWU, hell, love they say, northshore, where does the good go (obviously), shudder to think, I’ll be back someday, I know I’m not the only one, you wouldn’t like me, divided, living room (again obvious), the first, more for me, hang on to the night, u-turn, I can’t take it, I don’t owe you anything, relief next to me, so jealous, I was married, and of course FUWM and Yellow! Are most of my favourite’s! But I love so many of your songs!
Sara will be writing more about her parenthood and the baby soon I think! I believe they'll be keeping a lot of details to themselves for the baby's privacy. But I think Sara wants to talk about the process of becoming a parent and the aftermath for sure!
I might be wrong but I feel like Sara probably won't disclose a lot of information about the baby (like to protect it's privacy?). But whatever she & Stacy decides do do is fine (while I am a bit intrigued by this kid & it so be cool to know about it). I think it's cool to see other teenagers on this substack (I'm 17) because it seems like everyone Else on here is kinda old (I think?). It seems like we have a lot of the same favorite songs! BWU , "I know I'm not the only one" , and "FUWM" are probably my top 3 tegan and sara songs.
BWU is one of my faves too!!! We are DEFINITELY going to play FUWM live! And we love that our fanbase stretches into such a spectrum of age. Truly. All of any age are welcome! I feel like a cross-generational conversation is also super important. We all have so much to teach each other.
Yes! I'm glad I'm growing up in a time where there are people like you to look up to. It is good we all have each other to learn. And I've learned a lot from you two- the main one is learning to be more comfortable/confident being gay.

I'm from the US (Idaho to be specific) ! If I'm being honest, I do think tegan and sara are old -ish (sorry tegan and sara), but old in a cool way. For my other favorites, northshore, boyfriend, call it off, closer, I know I'm not the only one, and of course I love all their other songs.
The descriptions were really cool! I like the haircut from 2017 (or 2018?)! With ‘faded like a feeling’, I can’t wait to hear the full version! I loved it in crush! Such an important moment in the film!
