I've also been going through a phase of loving Sainthood, It started with the release of Sainthood.

“Or I’m literally dead inside.” is the most Sara thing I’ve ever heard.

You become dead inside at 44. Lol.

I'm sure some of us sound like a broken record and only ask for more and more lol but, the thought of some of the work you've done just sitting there, makes me wonder if there's any chance you'll release them in the future? Like the detailed scripts you sent to Tillie that you mentioned, or the scripts for the second season of High School, or the drafts for High School the memoir... they are not the "final product" but they took a lot of work and it would be an interesting addition, to me anyway :) Not a demand, just ideas! Thanks for taking the time and answering more questions ❤️❤️

Interesting idea. I don’t even think most pro comic writers release many of their draft scripts. At least I haven’t seen many. Sometimes you can find movie speck scripts online. Artist’s, I’ve seen, will publish “sketchbooks”.

Yeah, I've seen play scripts before. As a hardcore fan I think it would be cool, but I understand that we can't have everything they make 😆

Hey Sara,

Thanks for posting! And for reading your post!! Thank you!

That’s exciting to hear that there might be some crush inspired music coming in the future!

I will read crush I promise! I’m pretty sure I’m getting it as one of my 18th birthday presents which is in a couple weeks.

I love the con too! And downtown (and so jealous in general)! And sainthood too of course! I’ve mentioned this before, but I have a ‘yellow’ tattoo quote ‘this bruise ain’t black it’s yellow’ one of my first tattoos! It’s currently my only quote tattoo, I want to get a ‘my number’ quote too though.

Understandable that you don’t remember every single fan you see! I actually love that you both make an effort to interact with and connect with your fans as much as you both do! So thank you for continuing to make an effort to do that because I’m sure there are some musicians, famous people, etc, that just don’t care about the individual people that follow them. So thank you both!

I do get what you mean about crushes. Mine are pretty consistent, I have a type of the way people look, unfortunately they seem to usually be straight or straight passing at least (if you know what I mean). These days it’s very hard to tell if people are queer or not.

Thanks for sharing Sara!

Sainthood is awesome and it came out on my birthday. Part of a group of my favorite albums that all came out on that day, the others being prince 1999, Taylor Swift 1989, and Amy Winehouse Back to Black.

Thanks for answering these, Sara!

Music inspired by Crush for a future project 👀 you’ve mentioned this a couple time now, so I hope we’ll get to hear it one day!

Drink more water, my god. I find myself drinking less water in the colder months, but enjoying hot tea to prevent from having too much coffee.

I love what you said about fans/the audience being a feeling; it’s an energetic exchange.

I am also quite dead inside, and so anytime an exchange or conversation energizes me rather than drains me, if brings me some joy I feel seen and understood…I guess that’s my current version of a crush lol

I love Vancouver so much that I’m planning to move there in the spring ☺️

As an alternative to coffee, I’ve recently taken to the indulgence of Rishi tea. It’s a nice ritual to boil the water, pull the floral teabags and inhale the scent as the beverage steeps. I like the eucalyptus and the jasmine green tea.

Thanks for answering all of these questions Sara. As fans we always like to hear the answers. Looking forward to the next project. I love everything you and Tegan create. Thanks again Sara. Later

No one asked but you know what else I’m dying to hear from Sainthood again? Paperback Head. If you guys ever consider Cameo lmk. No joke, 1.5 years ago I made a list of songs I’m dying to hear/hear again and would request them on Instagram. To my surprise you guys brought back 9/17 so far and I still can’t believe that happened. 🤯 Make it 9/18 because I just added PH. Best feeling ever and I’m so grateful for you two, thank you 100x! Easter egg for you.

Oh, I love Downtown. I used to blast that song and the album while I was out late driving around just sitting with my feelings lol. Fun fact, I requested that song last July with no luck and it’s still on the pending list!

Demo aside, I absolutely LOVE the version of BIYH you played this year. The performances specifically at Humphreys Concerts by the Bay and Queer Pride Festival hits different. Oh man.

It’s both a sign of maturity and you’re dead inside. It’s a fact because I know this feeling too well. What feelings? ha

p.s. Send tips on how to survive live show/event withdrawals. I miss laughing at both of your jokes in person. 😭

I would preach to you about the benefits of water, but I drink copious amounts of coffee when I’m writing my poetry so I can’t judge lol

An Horse!! “Get Out Somehow” was my #1 song on spotify this year, I listened to it many dozens of times. “life gets different” has long been a personal anthem/motto of mine, and hearing that almost word for word in the song when it came on my daylist in July (“tell me, my life’s gonna get different, let it fall apart and, let it hit me in my heart” !!) was very cool to me. It’s so fun you all know each other - a crush collab would be epic :)

Drink water Sara. You’ll have less aches and pains. That’s my unsolicited advice.
