Awwww. What a great birthday post for Georgia. ❤️❤️ The picture of the three of you is so sweet. Being completely disrupted and content simultaneously was something that took me by surprise too.
Does Sara’s eye start twitching when she comes over now? Or is she meticulous only about her place? 😊
I said to Sara once that she wouldn’t like my house, (when she was taking about her cleaning habits), but she commented back and said it’s just her own house that she judges, she doesn’t walk into other peoples and start judging. I wonder if it’s different because it’s Tegan’s house, so maybe she does judge her sister/twin?
Happy birthday to Georgia! I have had my dog, Douglas, for a little over a year now. He is a corgi with a tiny bit of heeler in him. Two fierce working breeds that require tons of mental and physical stimulation. There were times when he was a baby puppy (let’s face it he will always be my puppy) that I cried and questioned my decision to get him. It was hard! Now he’s a teenager and we have to start from the beginning bc when we’re in public he no longer knows his name and thinks every dog and person is his best friend haha.
I definitely resonate with so much of what you say about Georgia.
Happy birthday!!!! I hope Georgia is having the best day with tons of toys, belly rubs and love
1. Happy birthday Georgia!! she's so cute. Ellie says hi to both of you.
2. You can't name a baby dragon toy without showing us!
3. Now I know that when you're messing living room on stage up it's probably due to the word association and you just picture your dog and feel guilty. lol.
EDIT: Super important question:
According to the lyrics of The Con X, Call it off says "is it better thEn keeping my mouth shut". I always believed it was "thAn". It completely switches the meaning. It reminds me of when we where debating about wake up exhausted's "I can/I can't stand up straight" in NYC last year. What should I believe in?
Lots of love.
Also, stop reading Tegan this one is for my pals here, I met someone among you on Tiktok recently, I wanted to say hi to you in here as well!
I’ll try and keep this short Because as per usual it’s late, not sure it’ll be short though since this is about dogs, which I’ve always had a minor obsession with but now that I have one it’s a full blown obsession!
Me editing- ok so I did a long one instead! Now it’s REALLY late!
Firstly happy birthday to the beautiful Georgia! Are we 2 or 3 now? (3 I think).
I’m glad she brings the ball back now! Grover and I are still working on that, he prefers to go and get it and then go off randomly sniffing and drop it somewhere along the way for me to find, we bought a bright orange ball so that we can’t lose it to solve this problem, he’s getting better, but he does get distracted and drop it in a puddle or somewhere equally interesting for me to go and collect, it’s like he’s trying to make sure I get exercise too!
When you mentioned the fur! Oh my god! I was pleasantly surprised to find it everywhere when I first got him! (He’s a black Labrador so it shows up everywhere),it’s everywhere: in my meals before I’ve touched them, always some stray ones on my laptop, iPad and phone, any light piece of clothing that I have, etc.
fortunately I don’t have a lot of light clothing because I’m a messy eater, unfortunately though Grover’s best friend is a grey and white husky and her fur gets all over my dark clothes!
The places you get to see with a dog too! Your part of the dog community! (We live right next to the beach and we have a thriving dog community)! Also there’s a dog park not far from our house which I love tacking Grover to for him to play and run around! I love taking him there anyway but I also kind of have to because he gets tired of playing with his ball a lot sooner than he actually gets tired, meaning I have to find other ways to entertain him, the dog park is a big help!
I love the picture of the three of you! The two hoomams with baby Georgie! (Don’t spell check me I did ‘hoomans’ on purpose because I picture Grover calling us that).
What you said about puppies! Jeez! Something not to look forward to with the dog I’m planning on getting next, thank god I got Grover when he was 14 months, he’s enough work for now. Tiring out your dog is hard work!
What you said about the toys too! I love listening to him with his toys and the noises his nails make as he walks because before we got him he was very well trained which included not barking so I’ve only heard him bark a handful of times and it’s great to hear signs of movement! One of his favourite toys is his cactus (it’s a fake cactus) and he broke the squeaker in it so instead of squeaking it makes these farting noises it’s so cute!
I love doggy posts! Thanks for posting, and for reading!!!
As a former dog owner, I totally understand the list. For me, the absolute best thing about having a dog is that you are never really alone. The worst part is the forever dirty apartment. But after I lost my cocker spaniel of 15 years last year, I kind of miss having dog hair on my pillow. Lulu was a rescue dog, but in many ways she rescued me too. She was the best medicine for my panic anxiety.
Loved to read this, Tegan. You really put a smile on my face. Hope Georgia is having an amazing birthday! And I love the picture of wet Georgia. The eyes says it all.
Sending lots of love to all of you from Oslo. Been following you and Sara on this tour by watching videos on Youtube. Love the «cover» of My Number!
Happy Birthday to Georgia. Enjoy every second with her. Time flies. I've got my dog when he was 5 months old, now he's 15 and we have to say goodbye pretty soon. I'd anything to see him running and playing like a puppy again
Aww happy birthday, Georgia!! Just a few years ago I had to re-live the puppy phase when I adopted my dog Macy. Before that, I only had one dog, Bella, who is now 14 years old. She is now in her latter years of life and it's such a contrast between her and my dog Macy who is 4 years old but still has the energy and mindset of a puppy. Having one dog wasn't hard, but now having two different dog breeds of different ages to take care of have definitely been challenging at times. I love having dogs and I love the company. They're always there for us and my life has become so much better with my dogs in it. I just can't imagine going through life without a furry companion.
Being a dog parent is ruff. Haha. I’ve grown up with dogs and have never been without at least one, and it’s still rough.
You can’t just up and leave, even to the store sometimes. You’ve gotta think of him/her. You can’t totally sleep in because they have to go. You’ve got to go out in crappy weather, pick up poop, deal with what we have dubbed as “fish farts”. Ugh. And of course, saying goodbye...
BUT. I can tell you, having a dog is very worth it. Because you do always have a friend. Someone who you barely look in their direction and they’re all tail! When you’re mad at somebody or the world, you have your world on a couch.
Dogs are the best. Hard work and sometimes pangs of wishing you didn’t have them-but to me sooo worth it!
Isn’t it amazing how we primates, have this deep intimate relationship with a canine?? Something that could rip our face off, but instead considers us a pack?
As I read this, my 3 kg, almost 12 years old dog, Lady, is sitting on top of me, in the middle of a heatwave, and I know exactly what you mean. My sweet girl has some health issues so I'm not as comfortable leaving her so I can travel as I once was, and that's ok. Dogs are so special and deserve everything in the world! Thank you for sharing this beautiful list, I really appreciate your generosity! 💜💜💜💜
I have 2 kids, we just got a puppy. I can confirm puppies are way harder! But so cute. I’m not to the point where I would say he makes my life better yet, but I’m sure we will get there. Happy Birthday Georgia!
This was the sweetest and made me miss my dog even more. I miss all these little things that you could have never prepared before having a dog, but that fulfilled my life, made me feel alive and like I was unconditionally loved. She passed away a year ago and my life has never been the same. Moana is always gonna be in my heart and I don't know if I'll ever be able to open it up again for another dog. I'm vicariously living through your life with Georgia, reminding myself of all that came with her, I miss everything 💔

See you very soon. Yay!

Yeah. I know my brother judges my place. Lol. I guess I judge his, too. Meh. Siblings. 🤷🏽♂️
With family and siblings sometimes you can almost feel the judgment radiating off them! 😂

Ciao!!
I just renewed my annual sub and what a treat to be thanked with! Loved reading this, Tegan.
My parents got a puppy themselves, Ellie, and sometimes I end up being the dogsitting brother.
They don't let her sleeping on bed at their place. I do. lol.
She's a mess (https://ibb.co/0m36fBD)
Just the usual bullets:
1. Happy birthday Georgia!! she's so cute. Ellie says hi to both of you.
2. You can't name a baby dragon toy without showing us!
3. Now I know that when you're messing living room on stage up it's probably due to the word association and you just picture your dog and feel guilty. lol.

Indeed, you’re never alone anymore when you have a dog. Mostly in the bathroom. HB Georgia.
