I love learning about astrology and finding how it actually checks out. Funny enough, it's a Virgo thing to not really be into that ๐ I'm a Capricorn (go earth signs!) and I relate to Capricorn traits so much, even though some of my strongest relationships don't match with the stars lol, thanks for sharing, I enjoyed this essay a lot!
What you wrote about being famous for doing nothing really hit hard. I am a twin too and this phenomenon of getting so much attention simply for looking like another person is something I have struggled with my entire life. I am not person that necessarily looks to be the centre of attention but I tend to dress and act in ways that attract attention maybe just to be able to justify the attention I would get anyway because of being a twin? Thank you for this either way, it's good to know that other people out there experience this too.
Thank you Sara for your share. I'm not well versed in any of this. I know I'm Aries as my bday was yesterday but aside from that I've never really looked into more of it. Maybe one day I will learn more. Happy Easter weekend!
My mother is a psychic reader/tarot reader so I've been around this shit for years. For me, it seems like an idea created to put people into labels and try and make senses of thing or justify certain behaviour.
For me, I don't want a label like that, nor do I want to attach labels to people. People are all weird, bizarre and quirky. But beautiful at the same time. For me, I think that trying to put someone into a label or file them as a certain star sign might seem like micromanaging to a certain extent.
I love astrology when it says things like "This sign likes beautiful things but doesnโt like hypocrisy" wooo really??!! Cause other signs donโt?๐๐ anyways, scorpios are the best, no matter what astrology says
I clicked on the website to see what Iโd get, (December 19th) day of hellraisers ๐. Not sure if I love it or if I should be offended. Cause of the whole homophobe thing of โall LGBT+ people are going to hellโ it amused me. Although part of me was like โT&S get day of fine appearance and I get Hellraisers day?โ. Sara you are right though, spookily accurate for me too. I didnโt get to read the report for mine. Because when I tried to sign up it not only asked for the standard stuff (name, email, phone number,) but it also asked โgender?โ And had only โmaleโ or โfemaleโ as itโs options, which (as a person who is genderfluid) I was naturally thinking โf*cking website!โ Followed by โIโll just pick one so I can see the resultsโ. Then I sat there for 10 minutes my hand hovering over the two buttons, then I deleted the tab. Just wanted to share my experience with the website and put a beware to my nonbinary friends on future use of said website.
It was really cool though, hearing your results T&S. Music is definitely like a drug, (btw saying this as someone who hasnโt tried any sort of conventional โdrugโ) but there seem to be a lot of similarities.
Iโve ran your birth charts back when I read High School and saw your birth times, and one of the biggest differences that I can remember is the Mercury placement in Saraโs chart. Itโs interesting. I also suspect the reason Sara (and probably Tegan) feels that the stereotypes for Virgos rings true is because you two are double Virgos (both sun and rising/ascendant). Iโm a Leo with Capricorn rising (and a Virgo moon), and Iโve always felt a disconnect with the Leo stereotypes. Iโm always envious of people who have the same rising and sun signs. You rarely misspeak or get misinterpreted. I like that.
I find Astrology really fascinating, I ran the report on my birthday and don't necessarily agree with everything it says but I feel like I'm not a typical Leo either but maybe it is very Leo of me to not like when it's telling me things that are negative or I don't want to hear...
Music may, indeed, be a a drug, but you're not really covering up or escaping anything by writing and expressing yourselves through it. In that respect, it's a GOOD drug. It allows you to be vulnerable safely, and we consume it the same way. It obviously has cathartic effects on both listener and consumer, and isn't that helpful for emotional growth?
This makes me curious what it would say about me and my wife.
Growing up- astrology was satanic so I was warned to stay away from it. Recently a friend pointed out that the 3 wise men used astrology to find baby Jesus. Or not so baby anymore Jesus. I told her I was raised that they just followed a big ass star in the sky- like a Jesus spotlight. Not astrology though because #satanicpanic.
Raise your hand if you had to Google some of Sara's big words. ๐๏ธ I'm a March 9 Pisces II. I'm single, I have a job, not a terf, and I like sandwiches. Tell Emy. ๐

I'm definitely invested in writing more about the experience because I think its a bit unexplored! I'm still sorting it out myself!
I have said many times in my life that music (particularly live music) is my drug of choice

happy belated!
Thank you!
Loved this essay Sara, really got lost in this one. Super interesting too.
Yeah Iโm not one for astrology either but that analysis of you both is spooky.
โBut isnโt music the strongest drug of all?โ Fair point and if so then Iโm hooked. ๐
Just my opinion ya'll:

Shalom people x
This was pretty interesting so I decided to check out my birth date. Fourth trait listed: emotionally unstable LOL Harsh ๐คฃ

That was a good read (or listen in my case),

HATE that they ask that question. Appreciate you pointing it out!

Wow, that report on the both of you is a trip. Maybe I should look at mine, since I never see myself in my signโs (Gemini) characteristics. ๐

Wow - that was some analysis!

Sheโs a Virgo for sure ๐
